A classic Ashtead Pottery Brittany jug designed by Phoebe and Harold Stabler with brightly coloured banding ('harlequin hoops') in blue, black, brown, green and yellow. In great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some age crazing inside the rim typical of these wares. Printed Ashtead Potters with painted pattern 'bf', shape J13 and painter's marks. Height 17.1cm (6.75in)
