Sowerby Purple Malachite Slag Glass Spill Vase c1875 (Sold)

A lovely purple malachite vase on four lion's paw feet, a classic Sowerby shape (1160 in the 1882 pattern book). In excellent condition, it's a fine example of Victorian pressed glass, the moulding being particularly crisp with lots of veining. Moulded Sowerby Peacock trademark and diamond registration on the interior base. Height 8.25cm (3.25in)
