Rare Victorian 'Bent Tree Trunk' Turquoise Majolica Jug c1875

Hard to find and rarely in this condition, a perfect 'bent tree trunk' majolica jug. Though unmarked, my guess is Forester's, based on the look and feel of the item. A lovely bark effect background in turquoise, with leaves in shades of green and flowers picked out in violet. As can be seen in the images, the whole is set off by the rich pink interior. Quirky and pretty, who could ask for more? Height 16cm (6.25in)
