A lovely Bough Pottery jug hand painted underglaze with bright yellow, purple and blue crocuses by Richard Amour, brother of Glasgow School graduate Elizabeth Amour who founded the Edinburgh based studio in 1913. In great condition; no chips, cracks or restoration. Some minor staining and crazing to the interior, consistent with age and use, though nothing to detract from the wonderful display value of this rare item. Painted Bough with initials RA and stamped Made in Scotland. Height 13cm (5.1in)
