Information

A beautiful example of vaseline glass from the old Stourbridge firm of Richardson's. The trumpet shape vase has a finely crimped rim and is decorated with stylised art nouveau daisies moulded in low relief. A lovely depth of opalescence and in excellent condition - no chips, cracks or repairs. Polished pontil mark to the base - always a sign of quality. Height 15.5cm (6.1in)

A similar vase is illustrated in The Standard Encyclopedia of Opalescent Glass by Mike Carwile page 109 and attributed to either Richardson's or John Walsh Walsh, though the late Cyril Manley has documented the moulds for this pattern as belonging to Richardson's.
