Rare Early Royal Doulton Bunnykins 'Game of Golf' Child's Plate signed Barbara Vernon c1939 (Sold)

A lovely Royal Doulton nursery ware plate in the Bunnykins series designed by Barbara Vernon in the 1930s. In excellent condition with minimal wear, the plate depicts two bunnies playing golf while the caddy looks on. A charming scene full of character. Facsimile Barbara Vernon signature and early Bunnykins backstamp with Royal Doulton 'A' mark, used briefly before the Bunnykins mark was used on its own. Diameter 16.5cm (6.5in)
