A rare hand made Radford jug painted with bunches of purple crocuses on a sponged turquoise green ground. A lovely shape, in excellent condition. No chips, cracks or restoration. Some fine age related crazing typical of these wares, though nothing to detract from this fantastic early example. Stamped E. Radford, Burslem signature and painted 267.NPG (shape and pattern reference). Height 18cm (7.1in)
